Fight to secure Ohio’s energy future!

Solar means economic growth, increased energy independence, and a stronger Ohio.

Solar development in Ohio has the potential to deliver stable jobs, more funds for schools and first responders, and generate clean and reliable energy right here at home. It gives farmers the freedom to keep their land and strengthens our communities. These projects are a key part of the energy mix that powers our homes, fuels our businesses, and makes our communities more secure.

But it is under attack by misinformation trying to stop the expansion of all forms of reliable energy production. Together, we can fight back and show that there’s significant support for solar!

Default message that will be sent to the Ohio Power Siting Board and key government officials:

Dear Ohio Power Siting Board,

I am submitting this letter in strong support for the Sloopy Solar Energy Center (Case #25-0636-EL-BGN). Solar energy is a wonderful way to preserve the farmland we have here in Clark County for future generations.

Any solar project in Ohio is required to submit plans on how they will protect the topsoil under the panels. These requirements, the fact that the land can rest while the solar facility is operational, and the rules in place that ensure the company pays for decommissioning at the end of the project, means that the land can be returned to its original use, potentially with improved soil quality, after the life of the project.

Furthermore, solar projects like Sloopy provide farmers and landowners, who have chosen to lease their land, with a steady, long-term income that helps keep land in their families and avoids the need to sell to developers.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to why I believe that the Sloopy Solar Energy Center should be approved.
